We hope to hear from the clergy and leaders of each church we visit about how God has gifted them and how they are using those gifts for His glory. In addition, we are willing to share what we have learned from our own churches as well as the churches we have visited along the way. A few possible topics wa are open to sharing about are:
- The New Testament Church – An outline of how God intends His church to be, based on the Bible. The purpose of church and her vision.
- Small groups – An outline of the Biblical basis for small groups, practicalities of running them in the church and problems to watch out for.
- Worship – Worship in the Coptic Church—the Biblical basis and how to make it accessible for the whole church in Liturgical services and informal meetings.
- Transformation of society – The importance of the church in society—caring for the needs of the communities we live in (eg visiting the sick, ministering to the homeless etc).
- Evangelism – The Biblical basis for sharing the Gospel both at home and away. Practical ideas of how your church can get involved.
- Technical – The use of IT in church databases, presentations, websites and other areas. Advice on audiovisual technology and its role in the church.
- Prayer – The role of prayer in His church Biblically and how to apply this practically to all the members of the church and services.
- Youth work – How to engage the youth in the life of the church and make Christianity relevant to them.
- What is my calling? – What is the purpose of our lives—what did God intend for each one of us?
- Quiet time – Describing the purpose of quiet time, how to spend it and problems to look out for.
- Personal and group prayer – Describing how God helps us to pray and the purpose behind it.
